Helping Single Mothers
We believe that everyone, at some point in life, needs assistance, and the men of Forged hold single mothers close to their hearts. We wholeheartedly believe in the incredible strength and resilience of single mothers. They are the unsung heroes who work tirelessly to create a better life for their children. But they can’t always do it alone. That’s where YOU come in! Your support is a lifeline for these amazing women, providing them with the resources and encouragement they need to thrive. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a world of difference. Together, let's create a compassionate community that uplifts and empowers these strong individuals who play a vital role in shaping the next generation.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Your donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is an investment in life. We are partnering with Thousand Oaks local, Jason Surat, to raise money for the fight against blood cancers. Jason recently lost his father to cancer and he’s made it his mission to help out as many other families facing the same hardship his family felt. Join us in the battle against leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers by making a donation that supports life-saving research and patient services.
Paolo Nicoletta
Paolo is the small business owner and chef of Pasta Fresca, an Organic Artisan Italian Cafe that he started by himself right before the pandemic hit. His wife, Assunta, recently underwent a bone marrow transplant surgery for her lymphoma, and we’re happy to report that her most recent bloodwork shows her free of cancer at this time. However, in April this year, Paolo took his motorcycle out for a leisurely ride. An unaware driver cut him off, and with no time to react, Paolo crashed into a parked car at speed, trapping him between the bike and the car. He suffered many injuries, but the most grievous was to his left leg. After several unsuccessful surgeries, it was determined that the best recourse was to remove Paolo’s left foot.
After a considerable hospital stay, Paolo is now recuperating at home and beginning the process of getting a permanent prosthetic. He is looking forward to getting back to his restaurant, as that is their main source for income. Both Paolo and Assunta are remarkably resilient and in good spirits considering all that has happened. They are grateful that Paolo survived and will, hopefully, be able to have a fairly normal life.
They have never asked anyone for assistance and are the first to be generous in helping out others in need. As you can imagine, his medical expenses are astronomical, and of course, their insurance will only cover a portion. Forged Foundation would like to show Paolo and Assunta what community is all about by helping them alleviate some of the financial pressures they are currently facing. Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and make a lasting impact on their lives.
